It’s all kicking off here! Ticket holders can now take advantage of free shuttles every 30 minutes from the Centre to the Chipper on Saturday & Sunday. We also have shuttles for the lower river operating over the weekend at 10:15am (driver shuttle, no boats), 1.15pm (boats allowed) and 4.15pm (boats allowed). Shuttles are only available to ticket holders who display their wristband. No wristband, not shuttle. You’ll need to book your place on the shuttles for the lower river at reception.

Our Rescue School for Beginners is now full, but don’t despair there’s plenty of other workshops and clinics you can sign up for on Friday night.

Another last minute addition for all you festival goers. Vertical Element Paddles are heading down and taking the helm for this year’s cardboard kayak race. You can win a VE Paddles voucher and Stu will be on hand to answer any questions about these great paddles. Sign up for the event at the VE Paddles stand and get creating! (Don’t forget, there’s a 999 theme!).
We’ve added loads of details on events and competitions for the weekend here! You can get involved before Tryweryn Festival by submitting your photos and videos our film and photo competitions (sponsored by Lowepro). We’ll be showcasing all your films online on our vimeo channel and on the Friday night. Pictures will also be on display Friday night.
Photo Competition Rules:
Share your best paddling memories in our 2013 photo-competition to win some LowePro goodies! To enter, send your best picture on the theme of “Fun White Water” to firstname.lastname@example.org . Images should be no larger than 5mb. Entrants give permission for the National White Water Centre to make use of their picture in future. Last image submissions 4pm Thursday 16th May.
Prize givings for both these events and Saturday’s paddling events will take place on Saturday evening at the party. Don’t forget, if you submit a film and its picked to win, you’ll need to have a party ticket and be present to collect your prize!
The live music for the Saturday night of the festival is confirmed as Bad Excuses. Taking the stage at around 9pm on the Saturday, they’ll be playing a selection of their own songs as well as lots of rock covers too!
